Fortis Healthcare will acquire Shrimann Superspecialty Hospital in Jalandhar for Rs 462 crore through its subsidiary Fortis Hospotel Ltd. The deal includes hospital operations, land, and an adjacent plot for future expansion. This move aligns with Fortis’ strategy to strengthen its Punjab presence, increasing its capacity to over 1,000 beds. The transaction, subject to shareholder approval, is expected to close by March 2025. Fortis shares may see investor interest following this expansion move.
