GAIL (India) Ltd and Rajasthan Rajya Vidyut Utpadan Nigam Limited (RRVUNL) signed a non-binding MoU on August 8, 2024, to explore setting up 1 GW of solar and wind energy projects in Rajasthan. They will also consider transferring RRVUNL’s gas-based plants in Dholpur and Ramgarh to a joint venture. The partnership aims to optimize operations and enhance green energy capacity in the state. The agreement boosts green energy investment in Rajasthan, benefiting both companies and the renewable energy sector.
