The Competition Commission of India has approved Hindustan Unilever’s acquisition of a 90.5% stake in Uprising Science, the parent company of beauty brand Minimalist, for ₹2,670 crore. HUL plans to acquire the remaining 9.5% over the next two years. This move will strengthen HUL’s beauty and personal care portfolio, boosting its market share and product offerings in the fast-growing premium skincare segment.
