The rupee ended 5 paise stronger at 85.25 against the US dollar as falling crude oil prices and a weaker dollar index offered support. However, gains were capped due to risk aversion from global trade tariff tensions and continued foreign fund outflows. Brent crude dropped to $69.55 per barrel, while FIIs sold over Rs 2,800 crore in equities. The rupee may remain under pressure, with USDINR expected to trade between 84.95 and 85.55.
