Benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty started positively on Monday. Still, they slipped into the red due to Foreign Institutional Investor (FII) outflows of Rs 4,227 crore and caution ahead of the earnings season. Sensex fell 68 points to 79,159, while Nifty dropped 48 to 23,956. IT stocks like Infosys and HCL Tech gained, but Kotak Mahindra Bank and Tata Steel lagged. Traders may stay cautious amid global market weakness.
