Tata Power has received a Letter of Intent (LoI) from PFC Consulting to acquire Paradeep Transmission Ltd, a special purpose vehicle (SPV) for a major transmission project. The SPV, to be developed on a build, own, operate, and transfer basis, will provide transmission services for 35 years starting from its commercial operation date, 24 months after acquisition. The project includes constructing a 190 km, 765 kV double circuit transmission line from Angul to Paradeep, Odisha. For investors, this acquisition expands Tata Power’s infrastructure footprint and long-term revenue streams.
