Tata Power and Bhutan’s Druk Green Power Corporation (DGPC) have teamed up to develop the 600 MW Khorlochhu Hydropower Project on the Kholongchhu river in Bhutan. The project, costing Rs 6,900 crore, will take 5 years to build. Tata Power will hold a 40% equity stake in the venture through Khorlochhu Hydro Power Ltd. The project aims to support Bhutan’s energy needs and contribute to India’s renewable energy goals. This partnership enhances Tata Power’s commitment to green energy and boosts regional energy security.
